While there are ultra-wide 21: 9 ratio displays on the market (such as the Samsung SE790C or Acer Predator Z35) today it is not a standard and most monitors that are sold to the general public have a ratio 16: 9 or 16:10 aspect ratio in some cases. Ultra-wide 21: 9 screens usually have a screen resolution of 2560 x 1080 and not all games support it, as was the case with Overwatch.

Many expect Blizzard to reconsider and 21: 9 support to be added in a later patch, which they haven't flatly ruled out.
