The market for gaming mats is evolving and more and more manufacturers are adding high-performance products with innovative LED lighting to their repertoire.

The presentation of this OZONE Ground Level Pro is similar to that of other mats of the brand. Due to the wide dimensions of the product we have a square box with the manufacturer's colors and about 45 cm long to house this rolled-up mat itself.

At the same time we have it placed in a plastic bag so that it does not suffer mishaps during its transfer. The box does not have a window to view or touch the product before buying it, what we will have is abundant information about it, as well as the availability of RGB LED lighting.

This OZONE Ground Level Pro gaming mat features quite generous measurements, 450mm wide by 400mm long and a remarkable weight. With these measures it cannot be considered as XL size since we will not be able to place a normal size keyboard on top of it, but we do have an incredible surface to move our mouse and rest our arm comfortably on it.

The mouse scrolling surface of this OZONE Ground Level Pro is constructed from a microfiber textile material that has been heat treated to provide the best precision and control in movement.

A high-quality and very smooth finish is appreciated in the touch, with an enormous resolution in the fibers to offer precision in high-end mice and 1-dpi resolution sensors, both optical and laser.

The thickness of the mat is 4 mm, with a firm touch, but with considerable cushioning, due to its thick and adherent ribbed rubber base. In it, the dark gray color predominates along with a large brand logo in red.

The surface is effectively highly adherent to wood, metal and glass, and with its dimensions, it will remain fixed in one place, whatever we do on it.

In the upper right area we find the microcontroller and the mini USB connection port to give life to the Espectra LED lighting system that this mat has.

In this small microcontroller we have a button to choose between 6 fixed or breathing colors and 3 other animation modes (Breathing, Sparking and Spectrum). The best thing is that thanks to the button we will not need any software for control.

The cable that we have available with the purchase of the product is removable and has a length of 2 meters, to allow maximum versatility. It also has a braided finish for durability.

The lighting strip is installed on the entire periphery of this OZONE Ground Level Pro, and is completely flexible. The lighting quality is also very good, with a uniform color throughout the band and with a little more brightness in the corners.

What appears to be transparent nylon thread with very dense stitches has been used to fix the band to the mat, to avoid breakage and movement of it. We must say that the finish is very good.

Experience and final words about OZONE Ground Level Pro

The sensations regarding the movement of the mouse over it are very good, with great speed and a lot of smoothness. At no time have any flaws or problems been found in pixel skipping tests.

OZONE has done a good job with this product, we have examined its construction and we have not detected any broken threads or defects in the fixing of the lighting strip on the edge. The rubber finish on the inside and textile on the top offers comfort and speed of movement.

An important detail is the possibility of disconnecting the USB cable from the microcontroller to transport it, a fairly long and useful cable for other tasks such as mobile charging, due to its USB port. In this area, we also miss the possibility of software management and synchronization with other lighting systems.

OZONE Ground Level Pro is a large mat, but it is not possible to place a keyboard on it, under our preference an XL or M model fits best in the market for users who want maximum extension, or only a mouse pad. The good thing about it is its spaciousness and the possibility of placing your arm on it and being totally comfortable and isolated from the cold wood. Its recommended price is 29.90 euros.
