Bungie has been unable to run Destiny 2 at a speed of 60 FPS in the current generation game consoles, the reason for this is that they have a very limited CPU in performance, so the study has preferred to offer an experience at 30 Stable FPS instead of offering a higher but highly unstable framerate. After that Digital Foundry has gotten to work with the beta of the PC game and they have shown that a simple Pentium G4560 is enough to achieve stable 60 FPS.

Pentium G4560 achieves 60 FPS in Destiny 2

Pentium G4560 is a modest dual core, four core Kaby Lake processor at a 3.5 GHz frequency, this little guy has been paired with an all-powerful GeForce GTX 1080 Ti and has proven to have no problem sustaining the stable 60 FPS as a rock in Destiny 2. With this it is clear that this processor is much more powerful than the 8 Jaguar cores that mount PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. The price of the Pentium G4560 is about 75 euros so it offers an unbeatable price-performance ratio.

The Pentium G4560 has also been tested together with a Radeon RX Vega 64 and in this case the experience has not been so satisfactory, as the frame was quite unstable with constant drops below 60 FPS but always above 50 FPS.. The reason for this is that Destiny 2 has been developed under DirectX 11 and there AMD's GCN architecture has a serious overhead problem with the processor, with Nvidia being much more efficient in this regard.

As for the graphics card, a GeForce GTX 1050 / 1050Ti is needed to achieve 60 FPS in medium quality, a GeForce GTX 1060 or Radeon RX / 570/580 to do it in high quality and a GeForce GTX 1070 or Radeon RX Vega 56 for ultra quality, in all cases in a 1080p resolution, so to do it in 2K or 4K you will need a GeForce GTX 1080 / 1080Ti.
