Pixel 2 xl is stronger than a pixel 2, durability test

The Pixel 2 XL has encountered a number of issues around the screen since its launch in October. Fortunately, the fragility of this smartphone doesn't seem to be that significant based on a torture test by JerryRigEverything.

Pixel 2 XL fares better in durability tests

Like the Pixel 2 last month, the "hybrid coating" that provides a plastic feel on aluminum is usually easily scratched on this phone. In fact, something as simple as keeping the phone and keys in the same pocket could permanently expose the Pixel 2's metal.

The lining extends to all sides of the phone, including the volume and power buttons. However, the last button on the Pixel 2 XL is metal instead of plastic.

Google makes some changes to make it more resistant

Meanwhile, the "G" logo embedded in the bottom back of the phone is quite sturdy and requires significant scraping to remove it. It also maintains the metal grilles that cover the front speaker.

This larger phone excels in the flexibility test. While the Pixel 2 XL stands up to this test, by contrast, the Pixel 2's frame breaks along the plastic antenna line just below the SIM card slot. The Pixel 2 XL still maintains IP67 dust and water resistance, which is already present in the Pixel 2.

In this way, the older brother of the Pixel 2 comes out better in the durability tests, although it is not the most robust phone that we can find right now in the saturated smartphone market.
