Playstation vr manages to sell above oculus rift and htc lives

According to a market study, Playstation VR would have sold above its competitors Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, although the figures would still be disappointing in all cases.

According to the Canadian market research and analysis company, Canalys, Playstation VR sales would be around 8oo, 000 units, compared to HTC Vive that sold 500, 000 and Oculus Rift that would reach 400, 000 units today. Canalys comments that in the coming weeks Playstation VR could sell more than HTC Vive and Oculus Rift combined, exceeding 900, 000 units.

Surely the forecasts of the companies themselves were betting on a much more fruitful 2016 for virtual reality, but finally its reception has been very lukewarm. The most optimistic was Sony, which launched its virtual reality glasses at a much more competitive price than Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, finally manages to sell less than half of what it had planned before the end of 2016.
