Virtual reality technology is just beginning and already several major companies in the technology sector are fully betting on taking part of this cake, Valve and HTC with Vive glasses, Facebook itself with Oculus Rift or Samsung with Gears RV. One of the important companies in the video game sector is Sony, which is also going to bet heavily with its new Playstation VR peripheral, which was officially presented last year and will be launched during the first half of 2016, or at least that is the intention.

Playstation VR, virtual reality for Playstation 4

With Playstation VR, Playstation 4 players will be able to enjoy virtual reality in the games that come out exclusively for this console, although here something very important must be clarified. Playstation VR will allow you to enjoy virtual reality only in those games that are exclusively prepared for this technology, as the Star Wars: Battlefront and some other minor titles such as Rigs from the creators of Killzone have already announced.

For the rest of the catalog that is not prepared for virtual reality, Sony has created the "cinematic mode" . This means that, equipped with the Playstation VR glasses, we will be able to play the Playstaion 4 games in a virtual room with a screen of considerable size, as if we were in a cinema. If the benefits of "cinematic mode" are as impressive as they sound, we could do without any screen or TV and play all games directly with the glasses, pretending to enjoy them on a cinema-sized screen.

Not only will the games be compatible with the "cinematic mode" of Playstation VR, it was also announced that all Netflix content will be compatible, which makes these glasses even more tempting.

Playstation VR will cost about 399 euros without counting the camera, which costs 60 euros and must be purchased separately.
