Plextor m6e black edition
Plextor has launched the new Plextor M6e Black Edition with a PCI-Express 2.0 x4 interface. It is a device intended for users who do not have enough with the performance provided by SSDs with SATA III interface but do not have enough resources for the fastest PCI-Express solutions on the market.
The Plextor M6e Black Edition will be available in storage capacities of 128, 256 and 512 GB and integrates the Marvell 88SS9183 controller, a 1 GB DRAM cache and Toshiba NAND flash chips made in 19nm. With these characteristics it is capable of reaching sequential read and write rates of 770 MB / s and 625 MB / s respectively, while in random read and write it reaches 105, 000 IOPS and 100, 000 IOPS respectively. Lower performance than other models based on PCI-E interface but higher than any SATA III SSD. In addition to being powered by the PCI-E bus, it needs a SATA power connector for its operation.
