Pokémon GO is no longer supported on Apple Watch
It all has to do with the introduction of the Adventure Sync feature in the game. The company itself has explained it in said statement. So it is news that will affect many users in it.
Unsupported
The new feature allows users to track their steps, get candy, and more features, all on one phone. So they don't have to divide their progress between two devices. Therefore, data is taken from the user's phone, from their health app, and synchronized with the game. This means that it is not necessary to have Pokémon Go open all the time.
Not only Apple Watch are left without such support. Also older versions of Android, such as KitKat, are no longer supported by the popular Niantic game. So some users will not be able to play it anymore.
This is a major change by Pokémon GO. We'll see how this new feature works in the game and when more changes are announced on your part. As a new sleep monitoring feature and accessory is expected soon.
