First benchmark of an amd navi graphics card (rumor)

The first benchmarks of an AMD Navi GPU seem to be emerging on the net. At CompuBench , we may have a first listing of a new generation AMD graphics card, identified as Radeon RX 66AF: F1.

A hypothetical GPU AMD Navi appears in Compubench

The listing on CompuBench was revealed by Dylan522p on Reddit. The site lists the specifications and performance metrics for a device codenamed "66AF: F1" and, from the first impression, looks like a next-gen piece based on Navi, as this ID code has never been seen before.. Now, if it is a Navi GPU, it is just mere speculation and perhaps it is some other architecture, but the most logical thing to think is that it is Navi, since this new architecture will come out in the middle of this year.

Faster than the RX 580 and on par with an RX Vega 56

The supposed AMD Navi GPU comes with 20 CUs that would be equivalent to 1280 Stream Processors. Now this would be true if AMD kept its similar CU layout with 64 shaders per CU. Also, Compubench may not be identifying the chip correctly.

Comparison in calculation tests

In terms of performance, it 's faster than a flat-out RX 580, approaching the performance of the RX Vega 56, at least in graphics tests. When we see the results in the calculation tests (second screenshot), the card gets results from the RX 580 mentioned above.

If these results are true, it would coincide with the information we published in January, where Navi graphics cards would debut with mid-range and low-end models.
