Athena project: intel to announce advanced cooling solution
Table of contents:
It appears that Intel will announce an advanced cooling solution for its notebooks from the Athena project. We tell you what we know.
As many of you know, the Athena project laptop outlet is just around the corner. Intel has worked on it a lot, to the point that the Digitimes portal claims that the manufacturer will announce an advanced cooling system for its laptops at CES 2020. Next, we will review this cooling system, which may be one of the novelties of 2020.
Up to 30% more cooling
Intel wants to offer users the possibility of having a laptop equipped with more optimal cooling than ever thanks to a new thermal solution that achieves additional cooling of up to 30%. The "culprit" would be a new refrigeration module that would combine 2 essential ingredients to make this percentage possible: steam chambers and graphite sheets.
Typically, cooling modules are typically located between the keyboard and the bottom case. In this way, they have a very small space to make said cooling possible. The goal of using those ingredients was to create a much larger heat dissipation surface.

The operation of this new system would have to do with replacing the current cooling modules with the steam chamber, which will be connected to the graphite sheets that will be found behind the laptop screen. To connect the steam chamber with the graphite sheets, a hinge would be used, through which a graphite cooling solution would pass.
This poses a problem: redesigning the hinges of the laptops. So, the presentation of the Athena project teams is going to be quite a show. Additionally, this design will allow manufacturers to make notebooks with fewer fans on low-power models. As you well suppose, thanks to this system, we could see much thinner laptops than until now.
From Professional Review, we have a brutal hype with the output of these laptops. At the moment, we will have to wait until CES 2020 to see it.

What do you expect from the Athena project? Do you think this cooling system will be a revolution? What do you think about it?
