Qnap announces the release of the beta of qts 4.4.1

QNAP today officially unveils the new Beta for QTS 4.4.1. As expected, a series of significant improvements have been made. Improves backup efficiency, launches hybrid cloud storage functionality, and includes Hybrid Backup Sync 3 with QuDedup technology, among other new features. A beta that is already official and can be downloaded now officially.

QNAP Announces QTS 4.4.1 Beta Release

This beta integrates Linux Kernel 4.14 LTS and offers compatibility with next generation hardware platforms. Backup efficiency is optimized and includes innovative applications tailored for hybrid cloud environments.

HBS 3: Reduce backup and recovery time

One of the first functions in it is HBS 3, thanks to which we have a couple of different options available:

Deduplicate backup data at source: QuDedup technology deduplicates backup data. By reducing the size, the required bandwidth and the time required to back up are reduced. More than 20 integrated cloud services: QNAP offers a flexible and secure hybrid cloud backup solution.

CacheMount: Low latency access to cloud data

A feature that will arrive shortly, will be in beta, but in some cases it is not available yet, as confirmed by QNAP This feature of CacheMount integrates the NAS with the main cloud services and allows low latency access to the cloud with local caching.

QuMagie: Brand New AI Albums

QuMagie is the next generation of Photo Station. The user interface has been optimized and an integrated AI-based photo organization has been introduced. Also features like customizable folder covers and an advanced search tool.

QNAP NAS supports Fiber Channel SANs

QNAP NAS with Fiber Channel card installed can be added to SAN environments to provide high-performance data storage and backup. Plus, it gives users the ability to take advantage of snapshot protection, Qtier tiering, or SSD cache acceleration, among other features.

Multimedia Console: Integrates QTS multimedia applications

The Multimedia Console integrates QTS multimedia applications into a single application. This allows easier and centralized management of multimedia applications. Users can select the source files for each media application and also adjust the permission settings at all times.

Supports self-encrypting drives (SED)

Self-encrypting drives allow users to take advantage of built-in encryption functions without installing additional software.
