Qnap qda
Table of contents:
In total, these are four different adapters, presented by Qnap during Computex 2019. They include adapters for 2.5-inch, 3.5-inch bays, and even SATA and PCIe M.2 SSDs. Let's see what they consist of.
Qnap QDA-A2AR
This adapter is the one Qnap had on his Sneak Peak at Computex. An item that supports two 2.5-inch SATA drives in a 3.5-inch SATA drive bay. You don't need a driver to deliver typical SATA 6Gbps speed, and it supports RAID 0, 1, and JBOD directly with a pre-installed switch. From the PC we can manage it with the External RAID Manager software.
Qnap QDA-A2MAR
This other adapter supports two SATA M.2 2280 SSDs in one bay for 2.5 inch U.2 drives. It offers maximum PCIe 3.0 x4 transfer speed , and is compatible with both PC and NAS Qnap without installing any drivers. RAID management and support is exactly the same as in the previous case.
Qnap QDA-UMP
This adapter is similar to the previous one, but with the difference that it only supports one SSD in this case PCIe NVMe 2280 with transfer speed PCIe x4. It has an aluminum chassis to aid in heat dissipation from the unit and no software or driver required.
Qnap QDA-SA
The latest model we have offers us support for Qnap's Enterprise ZFS NAS for use with SATA 6Gbps drives in a 3.5 ”SAS bay. Sold in packages of 4 units.
