It is faster and more effective than current modems, as the firm itself has said in its announcement, although we will have to wait a while until it is officially launched. This new modem has been built on 5mm architecture.

Versatility is one of the keys in this modem from the American manufacturer, which seeks to be useful for all types of users.

Snapdragon X60 has the ability to be used in mmWave networks and also sub-6 Ghz, including lower frequency bands, which is one of the aspects that give it its versatility. In addition, as Qualcomm has said, it is compatible with the NA and NSA options, also having the ability to use them to achieve higher speeds.

On the other hand, the new antenna in it is smaller, thus occupying less space, so the phones that use it will benefit from its design and will be more comfortable for manufacturers. In the tests carried out, it shows speeds of 7 Gbps in download and 3 Gbps in upload.

Manufacturers are expected to test Snapdragon X60 this year, although it won't be until 2021 when it becomes a reality on the market. At least this is what Qualcomm has said in its presentation, a rather long wait in this regard until this brand 5G modem is released.
