Qualcomm continues to work to reinforce its position as the best designer of processors for mobile devices. Its big bet for this first half of 2018, is the Snapdragon 710, which will arrive to offer users a better mid-range than ever.

Its next processor will be the Snapdragon 710, which will be based on a big.LITTLE configuration consisting of four Kryo 360 Gold cores at a maximum of 2 GHz and four Kryo 360 Silver cores, at a frequency of 1.6 GHz, although there is also talk that it could be six Kryo 360 Silver cores and two Kryo 360 Gold cores. The first are the high power cores, and the second are the high energy efficiency cores, this type of design allows to offer a very powerful processor, as well as very efficient with the use of energy.
Next to it will be placed the Adreno 615 graphics. Finally, there is talk of a Snapdragon X16 modem with download speeds of up to 1 Gbps, and a 14-bit Spectra 260 dual ISP, which supports a single 26-megapixel camera or dual 13-megapixel cameras.
This new Snapdragon 710 will be one step behind the Snapdragon 835, the current top of the range so we can already get an idea of its excellent benefits. Most interestingly, the new chipset is slated to arrive on two Xiaomi phones, which are codenamed Comet and Sirius, both with OLED displays, Android 8.1 Oreo, and 3, 100 mAh and 3, 120 mAh batteries.
