RAGE 2 goes on sale on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on May 14, combining the talents of id Software and Avalanche Studios to create an action-packed first-person shooter inspired by DOOM.

RAGE 2 requires at least an i5 processor and a 3GB VRAM graphics card

Now, Bethesda has released the PC system requirements for its next game, revealing that the game requires a minimum of 3GB of video memory, at least 50GB of disk space, a powerful quad-core processor, and at least 8 GB of system memory.

Minimum system requirements:

  • OS: Windows 7, 8.1 or 10 (64-bit versions) Processor: Intel Core i5-3570 or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X Memory: 8 GB of RAM Graphics: Nvidia GTX 780 3GB or AMD R9 280 3GB Storage: 50 GB of available space

Recommended system requirements:

  • OS: Windows 7, 8.1 or 10 (64-bit versions) Processor: Intel Core i7-4770 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X Memory: 8 GB RAM Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1070 8GB or AMD Vega 56 8GB Storage: 50 GB of available space

Regarding these requirements, Bethesda has not revealed if the recommended requirements are for playing 1080p and 60 fps, but we should believe that it is, since it is asking for a GTX 1070. To make a comparison, Battlefield V asks for a GTX 1060 among its recommended requirements to play at 60 fps and 1080p.

RAGE 2's PC options menu will include the ability to customize FOV (50-120 degrees), motion blur and depth of field options, and native support for ultra-wide 21: 9 and 32: 9 monitors.

Another of the 'interesting' aspects, and worrisome for some, is that it will require at least 3GB of memory, so many 2GB low-end graphics cards and older high-end ones will not be compatible with this game. What do you think of these requirements?
