With the launch of the BlackWidow Lite, Razer is expanding its portfolio of mechanical keyboards to include a compact version for office use. The manufacturer uses the orange Razer switches for quieter operation.

New Razer BlackWidow Lite with orange switches and TKL design for the office

Razer BlackWidow Lite is a keyboard without the number pad, without additional keys and without multimedia keys. It also comes without the palmrest and USB port of its older brother BlackWidow Elite. Its TKL design makes it take up less space on the table, so you will have no problem having everything you need on top. According to Razer, due to the more simple and discreet optics, BlackWidow Lite is suitable for professional users away from the gaming sector, who do not want to miss a mechanical keyboard in the office. To make night work more enjoyable, Razer uses only white LEDs.

Inside are the Razer orange switches, which shouldn't interfere with the office. Compared to other models, these switches provide a tactile feel, but dispense with the acoustic click of green or blue Cherry Razer switches. If necessary, the supplied rubber rings can be used to make the switches even quieter.

All keys can be macros and illuminated separately through Razer's Synapse software, however the BlackWidow Lite has no built-in memory. Razer includes a detachable cable for easy portability, something users who need a lot of travel will appreciate. BlackWidow Lite is now available on the Razer website, the recommended retail price is around 100 euros.
