Razer offers its switches to other manufacturers
It will be throughout this year 2018 when the rest of the keyboard manufacturers have access to the Razer switches. The mechanisms of the Californian firm are recognized for their speed and precision, as well as a 60% greater duration compared to standard mechanical switches. Until now, Razer had exclusive use of its own mechanical switches, limiting users' choice to the firm's BlackWidow keyboards.

Razer switches have been designed from scratch and specially designed for video games, allowing them to offer specific features for this demanding audience. Razer currently has three versions of its switches, all of which will be offered to manufacturers of mechanical keyboards.
- Razer Green Switch: Features a tactile touch and a distinctive click, along with a few action and reset points, optimized for the best gaming and typing performance. Razer Orange Switch: Features a quiet touch and no audible click. It offers the same optimized performance, but with less actuation force than the Razer Green Switch, providing a quiet gaming experience. Razer Yellow Switch - Features ultra-fast 1.2mm activation as well as quiet keystroke performance for fast-action gaming.
