Razer eRacing Simulator: The brand's eSports simulator

It is an ambitious project, oriented to the future, but with which the brand hopes to already show the great advances that are taking place in this field.

New simulator

Razer has brought together some of the leading racing simulation companies to deliver one of the most immersive racing experiences to date, offering a demonstration of the future of competitive eRacing. Featuring the Project CARS Pro game, this concept model features technology from Vesaro, Simpit, and Synthesis VR, creating an exciting and immersive setup with a 180º projection system, hydraulic racing platform, full manual controls, and a button-shifted steering wheel..

The simulator chassis is built with a central body designed around an advanced modular upgrade system, which will allow for many simulation scenarios. This central core is embedded in an actuator-driven motion platform, and a game control box for a professional race training setup that maps terrain surfaces, G-force, and moving sounds, all for one completely immersive experience. The real surround images, provided by Simpit, come from two Full-HD projectors that are projected onto a custom 128-inch black projection surface, with a 202-degree field of view with vibrant colors and deep blacks.

The driver's controls feature a Fanatec steering wheel in anodized aluminum and carbon fiber, covered in smooth leather, magnetic pedals and adjustable buttons for gear shifting and precise driver assistance; all this combined with a 3 pedal system. The racing harness simulates the effects of G-forces by applying pressure and allowing the body to feel the various acceleration speeds and pressure in the tightest corners.

Razer also plans to invest in eRacing competitions in the near future, while continuing its search for technology partners and publishers to further develop this simulator.
