PC requirements for beyond: two souls and heavy rain

Quantic Dream brings its PlayStation games to the PC. Yesterday we told you about the requirements of Detroit Become Human, and now it is the turn of two other somewhat older titles that came out exclusively for the Sony console, Beyond: Two Souls and Heavy Rain.

Beyond: Two Souls and Heavy Rain will use the DirectX 11 API

Breaking with its previous exclusivity on the PlayStation platform, this move will introduce these games to many PC gamers for the first time, opening these titles to a much wider audience.

While all in all this can be seen as a positive move for PC gamers, Quantic Dream has received some criticism, due to exclusivity with the Epic Games Store. Still, releasing the game as an Epic Games exclusive is still preferable to not having any PC version.

Beyond: Two Souls and Heavy Rain were released on PlayStation 3 as exclusive titles, with both receiving remasters on the PlayStation 4. Both titles are now heading to PC, with release plans in 2019.

On PC, both games will make use of the DirectX 11 API, unlike Detroit: Become Human, which will use the Vulkan API.

Despite being older games and using another API, the minimum and recommended requirements seem to be the same as in Detroit: Become Human, making it likely that Quantic Dream has simply copied this game's PC system requirements to their oldest titles.

Most PC gamers will exceed the minimum system requirements of this game, with a 2012 mid-range graphics card among those requirements, when it comes to the recommended requirements, it's another story.
