AMD's Radeon VII graphics card will launch on February 7, being the brand's first 7nm gaming GPU, delivering performance that appears to be on par with Nvidia's RTX series.

Radeon VII appears to be targeting performance levels of GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card

We are all waiting to know how this graphics card will really work and if it will be able to compete with the highest performance models of the RTX series. One of the first results have been revealed today, thanks to the sources TUM_APISAK and KOMACHI_ENSAKA from their respective Twitter accounts (sources that are usually reliable), showing the results that can be obtained in 3DMark with the Radeon VII.

Radeon VII performance data is based on three 3DMark performance tests, Fire Strike, Fire Strike Extreme and Fire Strike Ultimate benchmark. The results and links to each result are available below:

TUM_APISAK also provided a 3DMARK Time Spy Graphics score of 8700 (rounded to the nearest hundred), but has not provided a link to the result in 3DMARK.

With these results, Radeon VII appears to be targeting the performance levels of Nvidia's GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card. Recall that the Nvidia option costs more or less the same price (ZOTAC RTX 2080 Blower costs $ 699), so here there can be a fierce fight between both options in the high-end.

Even so, we still have to see what the results are in games of the Radeon VII to give a sentence, but it does not look bad.
