Today we bring you the analysis of the Antec CP-1000 source. This is a CPX (Antec Proprietary Standard) format power supply that makes the sources higher. By including a 120mm fan in a vertical position.

CP-1000 is exceptionally well designed with an advanced cooling system, only compatible with some of Antec's top gaming and performance One cases, including the Twelve Hundred, DF-85 Black, P183 and P193. By breaking with the dimensions fees of the power supplies.

The font has measurements outside the classic standard. As it is a design patented by Antec, the height is much higher than the rest. On the left side we have engraved the technical characteristics of the power supply.

On the back we have the power outlet and the on / off button on the PSU.

Refrigeration is not a problem, because it includes a 120mm fan, specifically the Magic mgt12012xb-w25 with PWM functions.

The font is modular hybrid. Although we would have liked that the exit of the cables was more collected.

All cables have semi-transparent black mesh.

To check at what level our power supply works, we are going to check the energy consumption and the stability of its voltages. We have used one of my favorite fonts: Antec HCG 620 80 PLUS BRONZE. Let's see the results:

The Antec CP-1000w has is completely painted matt black. It has a great double printed circuit design. That guarantee us a reliability and an important performance.

Its cooling system is something special, because it includes a 120mm PWM rear fan (quite quiet). This has its pros and cons, because it increases the air flow and prevents air pockets inside the power supply. But this CPX format forces us to use only four boxes on the market: Antec P183, P193, Twelve Hundred or DF-83.

In our test bench it has performed very well with an i7 2600k with Overclock and a GTX560 Ti graphics card. With this source we can use any MultiGPU SLI or CrossfireX configuration on the market.

The Antec CP-1000 offers an excellent quality / price ratio. Its price ranges from € 140.
