Review: antec high current gamer 620w

Antec has been manufacturing the best sources on the market since 1986 and among its numerous series, there is one dedicated to the Gamers. This is the "High Current Gamer" series, consisting of five models: HGC-400/520/620/750 and 900W.

We are going to analyze the HGC-620w which is the intermediate model of this series. The fountain has an 80 Plus bronze certificate that combines power and silence. Let's see how it behaves in our laboratory.

As we have previously commented, the fountain has a Bronze 80 plus certificate with an efficiency of up to 88%. Antec assembles the best components in its products. For this review HGC620 was not going to be less and it is made up of a Seasonic core, high quality Japanese capacitors, a 13.5 cm double ball fan Adda ADN512MB-A90 (1700 RPM and 30 dBA) and a + 12V Rail 48 amps capable of withstanding peaks of more than 50th, thanks to OCP technology (Protection against excess current).

We are very happy with the power offered by the Antec HGC-620w power supply. It is perfect for the most demanding players, because the stability in its rails allows to install any graphics on the market. We should also not forget that it has a Seasonic core and the best Japanese capacitors. Its 135mm fan provides excellent cooling and silence. We also liked that during our tests the source did not emit any electrical noise.

The only downside that we found that is not modular, and at the time of installation managing the cables will be more complicated.
