Antec Skeleton is the first “ Open air case ” box on the market. With an innovative 25 cm fan and with an LED system never seen before. Antec does not forget about the cooling for hard drives and comes with a 9.2 cm fan. In storage it is not far behind and is capable of storing 6 storage units and two optical / rehobus units.

For those of us who change hardware many times, the Midi Towers limit us a lot. The inconvenience and the time lost in unplugging the cables, removing the sides, components… But the last straw is to change the heatsink, 95% of the boxes we have to remove the motherboard, making it impossible to remove the heatsink anchor system.

Antec Skeleton arrives in a cube-shaped cardboard box. With its black and yellow corporate colors. On the four faces we find the figure of the box and the phrase Think Beyond the Box (think outside the box).

When opening the box we find the Antec Skeleton with two pieces of polystyrene foam rubber, which ensures maximum protection.

The box is inside a plastic bag and the manual in a protective case.

The Antec Skeleton is made of 0.8mm steel and a considerable density Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene plastic.

Tightened the tabs on the ends, the side panels lower and we can install our components with more space. In addition, two floating hard drives can be installed on the top rail.

The tray fixing is produced with four screws that can be unscrewed by hand.

Once the 4 security screws are unscrewed, the tray slides smoothly and comes out without any problem.

The fan includes a 3-speed top switch (400 RPM to 800 RPM). And it also includes another switch to offer 9 kinds of effects on its LEDs.

Installing optical drives and storage is straightforward. We simply have to install two fixing screws on the side of each unit, then slide the units. If we have doubts about the installation of our components, the manual details all the steps very well.

The biggest problem we have found is the incompatibility with heatsinks with a height greater than 10 cm. One solution is to use Liquid Refrigeration Kits, for example Antec Khüler 620 (it must come out of the box for installation). They are the perfect systems to achieve a high level of overclocking and cooling.
