Just over a month ago, the official launch of the Asus ROG Swift PG278Q 27-inch monitor with 2560 x 1440 resolution , pixels, a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a response time of 1 ms arrived in Spain. If together with these characteristics we combine an attractive design from the Republic Of Gamer (ROG) range, we have all the ingredients for the perfect monitor.

Many of you will wonder what resolution you have or what is the best. The standard is 1920 × 1080 also known as FULL HD, then we move on to 2K screens: 2560 × 1440 and the latest to arrive as 4K 3840 × 2160 pixels.

Asus ROG Swift PG278Q

Asus send us the Asus Rog Swift PG278Q in a large box and perfectly protected inside. The monitor is already mounted with its base, just place it on the table, connect the power and the Displayport video cable.

The Asus ROG Swift PG278Q is a monitor with a size of 27 ″ and high measurements: 619.77 x 362.96 x 237.9 mm and 7 Kg of weight. Its panel is TN although everything must be said that it is the best in its sector, it has little to envy an IPS. It has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels (2K) with a response time of 1ms and adjustable frequency from 50 to 144 Hz.

The maximum brightness is 350 cd / mm and 16.7 million 8-bit colors.

On the right side we find the control panel where we have a 5-way navigation key that allows us to slide through the menu smoothly. It also includes a turbo key to increase the hot frequency.

The monitor includes an adjustable base in three positions: height position (up to 12 cm), tilt (60 degrees) and pivot (vertical mode). As an extra it includes a pedestal illuminated with red LEDs known as LED Light-in-Motion.

It also allows us to hide and organize cables and is compatible with VESA adapters.

Its back is completely smooth and we find a router to hide the power cables. Includes a DisplayPort 1.2 output, HUB for upstream USB 3.0 connection and two downstream USB 3.0.

We find an external power adapter and a power cable. This idea is great for us because it reduces the heat of the monitor and thus degrades to a lesser extent. As a curious fact when the monitor is on it has an average consumption of 90W and when it is in Stand By of 0.5w. OSD, Turbo PLUS and GAME PLUS

The OSD is quite good and very intuitive: it allows us to view configurations and make adjustments. It also includes Game Plus functionality with timer and slot overlay functions. As I tell you, we have up to 4 peepholes to adapt it to our game and thus control times and take advantage of our rivals.

The Asus ROG Swift PG278Q is the best gaming monitor in the world for both features and experience. It has a quality 27-inch TN screen, 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, 144 Hz refresh rate and a fantastic 1ms response time. If all these latest features are also removed we completely eliminate input lag.

We must bear in mind that the monitor includes a pivotable base with a great capacity for adjustment, covering any need that we may have in our day to day. It also includes G-Sync technology that offers a faster and smoother gaming experience than exists today. This function requires us to have an NVIDIA graphics card (from series 6 it includes it).
