The first characteristic that is obvious is that the mouse is designed for ambidextrous, it does not matter with the hand that we use it, we will have the same keys available on either side.

The Recon is equipped with Omron Micro switches and a 3090 Avago optical sensor, giving us the game to swap between 800, 1600, 3200, and 4000 DPI on the fly. As well as 5 profiles and 36 macros.

The software for the mouse does not come with the typical installation on CD, when installed it installs itself perfectly, and to take advantage of all its advantages we have to download the application, directly from the CM Storm page.

Once downloaded and installed, the software detects the firmware of our mouse and updates it as necessary. He updated it to us, to a more modern version of the one brought by the mouse.

The first option allows us to assign to each button the function that we need at a certain moment.

For this we have to choose a profile of the voids and assign the needed functions, the profiles are at the bottom.

In the second tab we find the sensitivity of the mouse, as easy as choosing the level we want, we have 800, 1600, 3200 and 4000 DPI, available, there are no intermediate speeds between each speed.

In the third Glow tab, we have the customization of the three LEDs, located on the mouse; We can assign certain lighting, brightness level or turn off, according to user preferences.

Macros, here we can create our macros, where we can assign delays, execution time, etc.

It allows us to import / export profiles already created from our mouse. To save them if necessary.

As there is no bechmark, or standard test, to measure mice, we have worked with it, in various scenarios, which we face on a daily basis.

In this scenario we have worked with the mouse, making, dragging, selections, etc.

The mouse is slow at 800 DPI, raising it to 1600 it is more comfortable to work in the "almost standard" resolution, which we have today in monitors, 1920 x 1080p. We find the mouse with an appropriate weight, not getting tired during the day of use.

The handling of web pages is very easy for us. Scrolling with rubber reliefs allows us to go precisely to all parts of the page we visit.

The perfect complement to the mouse is the CM Storm Skorpion, fulfilling its function perfectly, it takes a while to measure the exact distance you need from "free" cable.
