Review: corsair hydro series h60
Corsair during 2010 offered us two compact liquid cooling systems to keep our processors cool: Corsair Hydro Series H50 and H70. After its success in 2011, it has changed OEMs and its innovative systems are Hydro Series H60, H80 and H100 (Dual radiator).
In this article we have the opportunity to carry out an analysis of the Corsair Hydro H60, which as its numbering indicates its performance "must" be located between the Corsair H50 and H70. Let's see how it behaves in our laboratory!
Hydro Series Systems are closed systems that allow us a quick and easy installation. The dissipation base is made of copper, which allows cooling with efficient performance. Both the pump and the tank are integrated and sealed to disregard the maintenance of the classic liquid cooling. Technical characteristics:

On paper, the most significant innovation is the 5-year warranty. Corsair demonstrates that its systems do not require any maintenance, and its copper base is free from galvanic corrosion.

The appearance of the fan:
The fan has a 4-pin connector, which allows automatic regulation by the motherboard:
We briefly comment on the installation. We place the anchor plate behind the base plate, as follows:
We connect the four hexagonal threads with the back plate:
And finally, we anchor the Corsair block with the 4 screws. You can help yourself with a flat screwdriver, and it is already installed:
It would only be necessary to install the 12 cm radiator in the box with its fan / s

To test the actual performance of the heatsink we are going to stress the CPU with full memory floating point calculation (Linx) and prime number (Prime95) programs. Both programs are well known in the overclocking sector and serve to detect faults when the processor works 100% for long hours. How are we going to measure the temperature of the processor? We will use the internal sensors of the processor. For this test on Intel processors we will use the “Core Temp” application in its version: 0.99.8. It is not the most reliable test, but it will be our reference in all our analyzes. The test bench will be around 29º ambient temperature. In our test bench we will use the following models of fans:
- 1 x Corsair CF12S25M12AP 1700 rpm 12v 1 x Nidec Gentle Typhoon 1850/1450/1100 rpm 2 x Nidec Gentle Typhoon 1850/1450/1100 rpm Push & Pull1 x Noctua NF-P12 12v2 x Noctua NF-P12 Push & Pull 12 v1 x Phobya G-Silent 12 Red / Blue 12v2 x Phobya G-Silent 12 Red / Blue Push & Pull 12v2 x Phoby G-12 Silent Water 12v
The aforementioned fans are regulated by the Lamptron FC2. Thus we can satisfy in the tests the needs of our readers.
We present these two tables that will help you see the real performance of the Kit H60. The ambient temperature has always been 29º C.
We have verified that the Corsair H60 has nothing to envy its performance to its older brother Corsair H70. Corsair lives up to its commitment to reduce pump noise considerably. Our disappointment has come with the Corsair fan, with a modest finish but a noisy motor. For this reason we recommend the purchase of two high quality fans. For example, the Nidec Servo at 1850 RPM, in the previous performance charts it has been shown that they are capable of reaching a more than interesting OC / Temperature. Another positive side of the heatsink is the ease of installation of the KIT, in addition to improving aesthetically the interior of our computer, avoid excessive weight to the processor and the possibility of installing high-profile memories (Eg: Corsair Vengance).
