To check the performance of the SSD, we have used the following synthetic test programs: HD Tune, Atto Bench and Crsytal Disk Mark . With them we will measure the reading speed, access time, random access…

Note: In all tests the SSD at all times acts as the main disk with the OS and has 22% of the disk occupied.

HD TUNE:

Crystal Disk Mark. It is not the application that best checks the performance of Sandforce controllers:

On the other hand, Atto Bench if it shows the most real values of the SSD:

We have analyzed the Kingston SSD V + 200 120GB , it is a solid state drive with a SATA 6.0 GB / s interface, 2.5 ″ format, JMicron controller, Toshiba NAND memory and read / write rates of 300 / 190MB / s.

In our test bench we have seen that its write / read rate is very good and that the PC user will notice abysmal performance between a mechanical disk and this fantastic unit. And from experience, when you have an SSD you never go back to a mechanical disk.

I recommend to all users to buy an SSD disk and be the system disk. With 64-120GB it is more than enough for everyday programs and some games. And accompany it with a good mechanical disk to store all the information and heavy games / applications. Although if we look for a little more performance we will always have the high-end HyperX 3K, which we hope to have soon in our hands.

WE RECOMMEND YOU Review: Kingston DataTraveler Locker + G3

We also have to highlight the incorporation of the Acronis True Imagen HD application that allows us to backup our old disk and migrate it to the SSD. A video in English, made by Kingston:

In short, Kingston has designed a very good SSD available in three sizes: 64/120/240 GB with a highly recommended price of: € 64 / € 101 and € 207.
