Review: koolance video connecting block
After the summer, we return to our laboratory, to bring our readers another wonder of Liquid refrigeration.
The rigid graphics bridge for three graphics cards: Koolance Video Connecting Block.
Products provided by pcRelic.com Koolance specialists:
Until now, only two of the large liquid cooling component companies had this type of connector to join the blocks of our graphics cards.
Koolance, how could it be otherwise, has joined this group, being its design, a success in beauty and performance.
Although it is true that with simple SLI connectors, we manage to join our blocks, it is evident that with a rigid piece that joins our graphics, we will obtain a compact block, without so much discomfort when assembling, disassembling 2 or more graphics cards in our circuits. rl.
But an image is worth a thousand words, let's see what we are talking about.
Koolance Video Connecting Block in front of the camera
As usual for components from the North American manufacturer, the bridge comes in a black box with the letters in white.
Inside, we can find, well protected by a rigid foam, the bridges and the necessary hardware to mount them in series or parallel. We will explain that later. As well as the watertight tires, necessary so that we do not have losses in our circuit.
The blocks made of a single piece of acetal, look robust, and if I may say, a beauty unmatched by any of those we know before.
The Koolance logo "carved" on the block gives it a stunning look.
The assembly of these blocks as we have previously said, can be done in series or parallel.
Bridge Operation: Series and Parallel
In SERIES is when the liquid in our circuit passes through our blocks one by one, that is, it enters through the first block and leaves through the last. Walking the blocks by a single path. Ideal for high pressure pumps.
And in PARALLEL, when the liquid enters through all the blocks simultaneously.
Why these two methods of placing the blocks?
With series mounting, the block with which the "water" first comes into contact will always be colder. Warming up as you go through the rest of the blocks. With parallel placement, this problem is reduced, although if I tell you the truth, I have not noticed anything putting them in one or the other configuration.
This would be the appearance of our blocks with the bridges in place:
Really Shocking, the result…. !!
Thank you very much, to Gustavo, from PcRelic, Liquid Refrigeration store for the transfer of the components, little by little a path is being made in this world of Liquid Refrigeration, thanks to his professionalism, and help any questions that may arise in components.
