Nox renews its Coolbay series with three fantastic gaming boxes: TX, SX and VX. Today we bring you the analysis of the Coolbay SX an ATX format box, with a large cooling capacity and compatible with any graphics on the market.

Nox protects your Coolbay SX box in a sturdy cardboard box.

The protection is more maximum with two polystyrene bodies and a plastic cover to avoid any dust particle.

Nox has designed a “metal mesh” front for excellent cooling. As you will see in the second image, it includes an area to install an internal floppy disk drive or card reader.

The upper part includes two LED indicators: power and hard disk.

And at the top we have the central panel. Composed by:

On / off button, reset, USB 3.0 connection, audio output input and one USB 2.0. Its strongest point is the external “rehobus” to control the front and front fans in three positions: slow, stopped and high.

The left side allows us to install two fans for excellent cooling with the graphics card.

And a fantastic filter for the auxiliary fan. The legs are made of a single rubber body.

The back is painted in matte black.

The Nox Coolbay SX is a box made of 0.6mm SECC steel with excellent cooling capacity , thanks to its " Metal Mesh " grilles on the front. The Metal Mesh design allows us an excellent circulation of fresh air inside the chassis. The Coolbay SX includes two fans (front with led and another rear) with the possibility of installing up to 7 fans .

In our test bench we have used an Intel 2600k processor with a Phanteks PH-TC14CS heatsink overclocked at 4600 mhz, a GTX580 Direct CU II graphics card and a Thermaltake 1350W power supply. The processor at rest was at 30ºC and at maximum power: 68ºC . While the GTX580 at 28ºC in idle and 63ºC at maximum power.

The box allows us to install up to 5 hard drives / SSDs and 3 optical drives . Its installation is done in seconds thanks to its screweless system . Another of the strong points is the incorporation in the front of USB 3.0 / 2.0 connections and two rehobus that allow us to control the fans in three positions: stop, low and slow.

We also do not have to forget about the compatibility with graphics cards of up to 35 centimeters , its two dust filters at the bottom and an excellent price of € 40.
