Raijintek Triton

The presentation is fantastic in a sturdy rectangular box. On the cover we find the large letters the exact model " Triton " and a full color image of the liquid cooling kit. Already on the sides we can see all the technical characteristics of the product.

In its inner bundle we will find:

Pre-assembled Raijintek Triton liquid cooling kit consisting of:
- 240 mm radiator. Two 12.5 mm tubes pre-connected to the block and to the radiator with their gray metal fittings. Combo block, tank and pump.
Instruction manual and quick guide. Three shades: blue, red and yellowish green. Two 120 mm fans. Thermal paste. Palette for applying thermal paste. Support for both Intel and AMD. 2 x molex thieves.

The entire package reaches a maximum weight of 1.5 KG that once the processor is assembled will barely have less than 400 grams.

We are going to delve a little into this kit because I have to tell you a lot of things about it… The first thing is that it is not a normal liquid refrigeration but a personalized one but already prepared to just install.

Once this is known, I present to you the double grill aluminum radiator with a size of 27.5 x 12 x 3.2 cm. Will it enter my tower? If you have two 120 mm fan holes in the upper area, the answer is yes and without any problems. As you can see in the photos, it has enough space to operate at a good performance under low load with low RPM and at maximum power with high speed in the fans.

It has two hoses of size 9.5 mm / 12.5mm that allows us to play with enough space to install our chassis. Inside it has a liquid prepared to avoid algae and any type of microorganism.

The connection between the pipes, radiator and block is made by 4 silver colored metal compression fittings.

Now I stop at the curious block with pump and tank included. First, I would like to point out that it is compatible with the entire Intel platform (LGA 775 / 115x / 1366 / 201x CPU (Core ™ i3 / i5 / i7)) and AMD (FM2 + / FM2 / FM1 / AM3 + / AM3 / AM2 + / AM2) with their respective supports. The block has an innovative dual channel design to improve fluidity and is made of copper.

The included pump has dimensions of 3.8 x 5.6 x 3.9 cm built with axis ceramic and graphite giving a maximum flow of 120 liters per hour. The noise level is not more than 20 dBA and has a programmed life of 50, 000 hours. The best thing… that its consumption is low of 4W and works at 3000 RPM.

On the tank tell you that it acquires a tank design to fill as much water as possible (350 ml) occupying the minimum space in our box. It incorporates in the upper area a cap that allows us to fill and empty the system without losing warranty. In addition, as an extra LED attached that will give a lot of life within our team… a real pass.

It also includes 3 cans of red, blue and yellowish green dyes ideal to give a more elegant touch to our system. Raijintek makes it clear in its instruction manual that it is compatible with the incorporated compound liquid and that it is not responsible if used in another liquid.

Regarding the fans we have two of 120 mm each and with PWM functionality. The new ones will ask themselves: What does this mean? It simply has 4 cables that allow the motherboard to control the speed automatically when the temperature rises. The fans are of fairly high quality and are capable of turning up to 2600 RPM with a noise of 21 to 36 dBA and an air flow of up to 100 CFM.

Can we upgrade the system and cool a graph with this kit? Yes, but by breaking the seal we would lose the guarantee. In the case that we want to make a circuit with two graphs, the system would be just right.

Assembly and installation (Socket Intel: LGA 2011-3).

The moment of assembly arrives and we have decided to do it on the hardest platform to gnaw at the moment the LGA 2011-3 with X99 chipset and 6-core processors with HT. In the following image you can see all the hardware that includes the Raijintek Triton.

The first thing we are going to do is color the 4 pins with the bracket and fixed by the 4 13 mm M3 screws. Remaining as you see.

The second step is to apply the thermal paste. In my case I recommend three lines or a thin layer distributed with the plastic palette that is included.

We remove the protective plastic from the block and place the block on the processor.

Now we only have to install the radiator and connect the wiring.

To test the real performance of the heatsink we are going to stress the best processors on the market: Intel Haswell-E i7-5820k with Intel Burn Tests V2. We no longer use Prime95, because it is not a reliable test, as it is outdated software.

Our tests consist of 72 uninterrupted hours of work. In stock values and with overclocked 4400 mhz. In this way we can observe the highest temperature peaks and the average that the heatsink reaches. We must bear in mind that when playing or using other types of software, temperatures will drop dramatically between 7 to 12ºC.

How are we going to measure the processor temperature?

We will use the internal sensors of the processor. For that test on Intel processors we will use the CPUID HwMonitor application in its latest version. Although it is not the most reliable test of the moment, it will be our reference in all our analyzes. The ambient temperature is 20º.

Final words and conclusion

Each product we receive from Raijintek surprises us more and we are delighted with the brand. On this occasion we have analyzed the Raijintek Triton a pre-assembled double radiator liquid cooling kit and a very well thought-out design. Note that it is expandable and its maintenance is fast thanks to its safety cap.

In our tests we have seen that it has been able to withstand the 4400 mhz of an i7-5820k with really good temperatures: 21ºC in idle and 42ºC in full with stock values. While overclocked we have reached 23ºC and 60ºC in full. Are you surprised? We also have excellent performance. On the noise I would like to highlight but for a QuietPC it is a very good kit but for a SilentPC we will have to regulate the pump and the same would affect performance.

In short, if you are looking for a good, cheap and beautiful liquid cooling kit, the Raijintek Triton will be the chosen one… Its price in stores is surprising since we can find it between € 70 and € 75. That last! Good job!
