The bottom has nothing to highlight.

On the front it incorporates three LEDs to see the status of disk1, disk2 and if it is on.

On the right side it incorporates two hatches to insert and remove hard drives in an easy and safe way.

The back integrates USB 3.0 connections, power and an on / off button.

In the Portum DUO II dockstation we can install up to two storage units of 2.5 ″ (portable or ssd) and 3.5 ″ (conventional hard disk).

Dockstations are, without a doubt, the fastest solution to move / save our most important files. But the Tacens Portum DUO II has four characteristics that differentiate it from the rest:

• Installation of up to 2 hard drives 2.5 "and 3.5". Backup button: It allows us to make backups between hard drives (we must have installed and configured via CD software). Clone / Clone button: It performs an exact cloning of both hard drives. (We recommend using two identical hard drives.) USB 3.0 connection: We will forget the famous USB 2.0 bottleneck. Copying files will go twice as fast.

We also have to highlight the hatch system for hard drives compatible with 2.5 and 3.5 ”. In our tests we have not noticed differences in having the hard drive connected to a SATA II port and the Tacens Portum Duo II.

In short, the Tacens Portum DUO II is an excellent external storage solution. It has an automatic copy system. In addition, its price is very attractive because it is only around € 30 ~ 35.
