We have also made a video checking the operation of the Thermaltake Dr.Power II tester with an Antec HCG-620w power supply (certified bronze).
As you know, power supply failures are very common. Almost always caused by the wear of its consumable components. For this reason it is very important to have this type of tools. With them we can verify the correct operation of our power supplies.
During our tests we have checked the lines with a FLUKE multimeter. And the readings obtained with Dr.Power II are almost identical.
For testing we have used the fantastic Antec HCG 620w power supply with 80 PLUS Bronze certification (see video).
Dr. Power II allows us to measure the + 12v line between 11v and 13v. The standard is between 11.4v and 12.6v. In addition to the -12v, 3.3v and 5vsb lines. All readings will appear on the screen. If there is any anomaly during the testing process, the screen will change from green (healthy) to red (failure).
In short, the Thermaltake Dr.Power II is a tool that any IT technician should have in his pocket. Thanks to its easy portability and accurate reading on power lines.
Soon you will find yourself in the best stores for € 27.50.
