I remember that during the month of October the first rumors about the new Call of Duty began to spread over the network, which was going to resume a war from the past, Vietnam. Now the rumors return indicating that Sledgehammer Games is preparing to return to one of the most famous war conflicts in history.

A Tweet triggers the rumors about the new Call of Duty

2017 has just started and rumors re-emerge about a new Call of Duty set in the Vietnam War.

Apparently the Sledgehammer Games studio is going to resume the work he was doing prior to the launch of Advanced Warfare, which was launched in 2014. Sledgehammer worked on a project called 'Fog of War' , a third-person shooter set in the Vietnam War and that it would have a tone similar to that of films such as The Metallic Jacket, by maestro Kubrick.

What remained of that game were some conceptual images and nothing else. Activision and the Sledgehammer studio plan to resume that video game, seeing the success of Battlefield 1 and the drop in sales of the last Infinite Warfare focused on a futuristic war. The community seems tired of futuristic wars and weapons and they demand a return to warlike conflicts that they recognize.

In the image published on Twitter by one of the people in charge of Sledgehammer, we can see the figure of an M1911, a semi-automatic pistol that was used by the United States Army in World War I, World War II, the Korean War and in the Vietnam War, a track that has not gone unnoticed.
