Rx 5500 xt, msi registers six models of this graph

Table of contents:

More AMD RX 5500 XT graphics cards have appeared in the CEE database, and MSI has registered six different versions of the main Navi GPUs, including specific overclocking models. The list also includes references to 'Ti' models of the GTX 1650, although strong rumors indicate that this model will never come out and that it will be replaced by the GTX 1650 Super.

RX 5500 XT is MSI registered with largest RDNA cores

AMD has already nominally released the RX 5500 series cards, but it has done so in a rather strange way. It has chosen to initially focus on an OEM launch for all major Navi GPUs, offering an RX 5500 card on a single MSI laptop, while other system assemblers create desktop PCs based on the RX 5500.

We've long expected that there would be a lower-spec RX 5500 XT and RX 5500 card, though AMD has only mentioned a lone GPU that doesn't use all the Navi 14 chip cores.

Gigabyte has already taken the step of listing its own OC models belonging to the RX 5500 and RX 5500 XT, but with another major AMD graphics card partner putting the 'XT' on the board. With MSI also registering these new 'XT' SKUs, the existence of this high-performance RX 5500 series model could almost be confirmed.

RX 5500 only has 1, 408 RDNA cores with 22 calculation units. Initial entries for the new AMD Navi 14-based XT model show up to 24 compute units and thus 1, 536 RDNA cores.

We still do not know what the price of the desktop RX 5500 or the RX 5500 XT with more functions will be, but we could speculate that one will compete against the GTX 1660 Super and the other with the GTX 1650 Super. We will keep you informed.
