Ryzen 7 4800hs: we know your score in geekbench 5
Table of contents:
A few weeks ago we knew nothing about the Ryzen 7 4800HS. We return to know more details about the next portable chip from AMD.
Hopes are high for this high-performance notebook processor. The Ryzen 3000 for notebooks did not have much bellows, so many want to know how the new Ryzen 4000 perform. Today, we will show you the performance that the next Ryzen 7 4800HS has shown in Geekbench 5.
Ryzen 7 4800HS: forged for the high-end
In this case, this processor has been seen in the ASUS Zepahyrus G14 GA401IV. We talked about him (and his older brother) in January, but we already know that there will be a version with Ryzen 7 4800HS and another with Ryzen 9 4900HS. Without further ado, we have learned the results of Geekbench 5 thanks to Twitter user APISAK.
Specifically, it has hung two tests carried out on the same ASUS laptop, of which we only know that it equips the Ryzen 7 and 16 GB of DDR4 RAM at, we suppose, 3200 MHz. According to our information, its base frequency is 3.0 GHz, but in the test it states that it is 2.9 GHz. Also, let's see what score the 8-core, 16-wire chip has achieved.
First test:
- Single-Core: 1164. Multi-Core: 7544.
Second test:
- Single-Core: 1135. Multi-Core: 7444.
Therefore, its performance falls in the second test. It comes in handy to rescue the Geekbench 5 leak from the Ryzen 5 4600H, which demonstrated terrific performance compared to the i7-9750H. In the case of the Ryzen 7 4800HS, it achieves a much looser result compared to the previous generation i7 "H".
So, we wanted to go directly to the laptops that equip Intel i9-9980HK or i9-9880H. Here we leave you the same tests.
This makes us think that the performance obtained by the 4800HS is quite good compared to rivals that, in theory, are superior. It is only a synthetic benchmark, so we will continue to report on the leaks that occur in the Ryzen 4000 and Intel 10th generation chips.
We recommend the best laptops on the market
What do you think about the performance of the Ryzen and 4800HS? Do you think it will be able to outperform the 10th generation Intel i7?
