Samsung has discretely added 32GB DDR4 memory modules to its product line. These new modules are based on the company's 16Gb chips, which were introduced earlier this year and are already in use for 32GB SO-DIMMs and 64GB RDIMMs.

Samsung launches 32GB DDR4 RAM memory module

Samsung's new 32GB UDIMM is rated to operate at DDR4-2666 data rates with a standard DDR4 voltage of 1.2V. Samsung does not disclose access times, but since the company sells its own memory modules primarily to large PC OEMs, it is highly likely that it will use the standard JEDEC latencies for DDR4-2666, i.e., CL17 17-17 or higher.

These new 32GB DDR4 memory modules will allow system integrators and PC enthusiasts to build PCs with up to 128GB of memory using motherboards with four DDR4 slots. It's worth noting that current CPUs and motherboards are only validated for 64GB of memory, but over time we will see validated platforms for larger DIMMs or the next generation of platforms will support them from the start.

Samsung's 16Gb DDR4 memory chips are manufactured using the company's 10nm process technology, and according to the firm, the modules that use these DRAMs are more energy efficient than DAMs. capacity depending on a larger number of 8 Gb devices.

These modules are most likely already available to at least some of your customers. The price of the modules is unknown, but a 32GB DIMM costs around $ 300 today. We will be attentive to the appearance of new details.
