The new Samsung CRG5 monitor was released at Gamescom 2019, and it's a curved display that comes with a refresh rate of 240 Hz. But it also has a few other tricks up its sleeve.

Samsung CRG5 is a new curved 240 Hz monitor with G-Sync

In addition to the high refresh rate, the 27-inch monitor features 1500R curvature throughout. This curved screen is intended to help immerse ourselves in games by filling our field of vision as much as possible.

The Samsung CRG5 is also compatible with NVIDIA G-Sync. When combined with a modern GeForce graphics card, G-Sync works to synchronize the frames coming from the graphics card with the screen refresh rate, ultimately eliminating tearing and other screen defects.

The CRG5 has a 3000: 1 contrast ratio and a number of built-in game modes to suit whatever you're playing. One of the most prominent is the Lag Mode to lower the input-lag of the monitor as much as possible. We also have the Virtual Aim that increases and improves accuracy when playing a shooter. We also have the classic Eye Saber that minimizes the blue light generated by the screen, helping to rest our vision.

Unfortunately, this monitor is left without support for any HDR standard, which would have very well completed the offer for a curved screen with such a refresh rate.

The Samsung CRG5 is available right now with a price of 400 USD.
