Korea Herald points out that Samsung Display has prepared several solutions for Samsung Electronics to incorporate the fingerprint sensor inside the screen of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The adoption of this concept would have delayed the final design of the Note 9 until this March. The arrival of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 to the market would take place throughout the month of August.

The idea that the Samsung Galaxy Note9 will feature an in-display fingerprint scanner is not new. In fact, Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at KGI Securitie predicted in October that the Note 9 would likely get a fingerprint sensor on the screen.

Samsung Display has developed technologies for years to market integrated smartphone panels with fingerprint sensors, but they have not met the expectations of the parent company.
