Samsung odyssey: new series of gaming laptops

As Lenovo already did with its Legion series, now it is Samsung's turn to take the step towards the Gaming notebook sector. Samsung Odyssey is the new series of notebooks focused on the demanding sector of PC gamers, who like portability and can play the most demanding games of the moment.

Samsung Odyssey: Kaby Lake - 64GB DDR4 - M-2 PCIe SSD

Samsung Odyssey will come, in principle, in two models with 17.3 and 15.6-inch screens at Full-HD resolution. Both will use the seventh generation Intel Core i7 processors 'Kaby Lake'.

The maximum amount of RAM memory that can be installed in this equipment will be 64GB DDR4 for the 17.3-inch model and 32GB of memory for the 15.6- inch model. The larger model will also have triple storage capacity, which will combine a 512GB M-2 to PCIe SSD, another 1TB HDD, and a hybrid SSD + HDD.

The graphics card chosen for the 15.6-inch model is the GTX 1050 mobile, for the 17.3-inch model they have not yet specified the chosen model but it will be much more powerful.

The Thunderbolt 3 ports under USB Type-C, USB 3.0, Gigabit LAN, HDMI, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth complete its characteristics, in addition to 93 Wh and 43 WH batteries. The weight for the 17.3-inch mole will be 3.7 kilos and 2.5 kilograms for the 15.6-inch model.

Samsung did not want to detail the money that any of the Samsung Odyssey models cost, they only confirm the staggered launch for February of the 15.6-inch model and in April the most powerful model of this bet would arrive, in black and white colors.
