Samsung introduces the first 4k oled screen for laptops

At the moment it has not been revealed which laptop is going to make use of this screen. Although production is expected to start shortly. So it is expected to be increasingly common in Samsung laptops. In this OLED screen, you can see pure blacks when the pixels are turned off, in addition, they usually have a better color representation and a lower power consumption when compared to LCD screens.

This screen from the Korean brand comes with VESA DisplayHD True Black certification. The maximum brightness is 600 nits, which has allowed it a DisplayHDR 600 certification. In addition, the screen covers 100% of the DCI-P3 range with 34 million colors. It is also a thinner panel than an LCD, as the company has said in this presentation.

This production of Samsung's 4K OLED displays is expected to start in February. We do not yet have data on when the first laptop of the firm that makes use of this type of screen will arrive. So we hope to know more soon.
