Samsung works on a 49-inch QLED at 5120 x 1440 pixels, capable of offering the equivalent experience of using two 1440p displays.

This new Samsung monitor would come to offer users an experience equivalent to using two 1440p monitors on a single monitor, ideal for the most demanding professionals, such as those who work with video and image editing every day. Using such a monitor expands the workspace, improves productivity, and even offers gamers an extended field of view for enhanced immersion.

This new monitor would be the successor to the CHL90 launched last year and offering a dual-FHD 3840 × 1080 resolution with a 49-inch QLED panel. Its successor would maintain the characteristics, but taking the leap to a higher resolution, which would be joined by HDR support and FreeSync 2 functionality to offer maximum smoothness in games.

Samsung is also working on a 3440 × 1440 34-inch, 144Hz monitor, with production plans for Q3 2018, a display that appears to be the ideal fusion of high refresh rates, ultra-large games, and crisp screen resolutions. We will have to wait a little longer to know the details officially, although it looks very good if everything said is finally fulfilled.
