The Chinese company is not the only one doing this practice, Samsung is also using different memory chips in its Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 + models.

XDA Developers have discovered that the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 + smartphones use a different memory specification, some models use UFS 2.0 technology while others use the UFS 2.1 specification. It is curious that the South Korean has already removed the mention of the UFS 2.1 specification from the specification page of the Galaxy S8.

Huawei uses different chips in the P10 and P10 Plus

Fortunately, no trace of the eMMC 5.0 memory was found, which would have a great impact on the performance of the terminals used. According to XDA Developers, only some models with the Snapdragon 835 processor use the UFS 2.0 specification while the rest use UFS 2.1.

In the European market, the Galaxy S8 uses the Exynos 8895 processor, so, a priori, all models should have the best memory technology specification.
