Scyte announces the third version of the grand kama cross cpu heatsink
Japanese cooling solutions expert SCYTE announces the third version of its GRAND KAMA CROSS CPU cooler based on the same X-Structure concept as its predecessor and allowing it to cool down in processor and components located nearby such as VRM, RAM modules or graphics card.
SCYTE engineers have redesigned the Grand Kama Cross 3 with the goal of significantly improving performance. Instead of using the usual 6mm copper heatpipes, SCYTE has decided to use two 8mm core units, and has also improved the manufacturing process to further improve heat transfer between the copper base and the heatpipes, also copper that this time they have undergone a nickel plating process. The radiator has been modified with a new special design that reduces the noise generated at high revolutions while improving its cooling capacity.
The Grand Kama Cross 3 heatsink comes with a pre-installed 140mm fan from the GlideStream series. Thanks to its large diameter and PWM support, it is capable of generating an air flow between 29.90 and 97.18 CFM with a loudness of between 12.5 and 30.7 dBA. The rotation speed can be adjusted by the motherboard based on the CPU temperature from 400 RPM to 1, 300 RPM.
The mounting system has been revised to make installation even easier with a new backplate. The heatsink bundle includes all the necessary elements for its installation in the compatible sockets of both Intel (LGA 775, 1156, 1366, 1155, 1150, 1151) and AMD (AM2, AM2 +, AM3, AM3 +, FM1, FM2, FM2 +)
The new Scythe Grand Kama Cross 3 is now available for a price of € 36.50 excluding taxes.
