Seagate also showed up at CES to showcase its new storage units for the three series it currently has on the market, Barracuda, IronWolf, and SkyHawk, all for different types of users and needs.

New 12TB Seagate Drives

We are currently having a problem with the amount of storage space. A few years ago a 1TB disk would seem to be enough for a modern multipurpose computer, but that capacity is already running low. If we are going to use the computer "for everything", see, surf the Internet, work, play video games or edit videos, this capacity will be easily filled.

That is why it is important for manufacturers to start releasing larger capacity discs, which also lower the cost of the models that we already have on the market.

Seagate is going to increase the maximum capacity of its three series with 12TB models, which is already impressive because it will do it with all three at the same time.

Game Drive Hub

In addition to the new PC hard drives, Seagate introduced the specially prepared Game Drive Hub external drive for XBOX One, which offers about 8TB of storage to load all games there. Considering that each game usually occupies 50 to 80 GB, that is a lot of capacity and many games that can be loaded into it.

The unit uses a USB 3.0 port on the console, but instead has a built-in hub with two ports.

At the moment we do not know the price of everything presented. We will keep you updated.
