Earlier this week, the popular digital game store GOG, also known as Good Old Games, began celebrating its tenth anniversary, kicking off the festivities with a vote that would determine which game would be available for free starting October 4, it's about Shadow Warrior 2.

Finally, the votes have been tallied, and the GOG user base has unveiled their preference, with Shadow Warrior 2 winning the election to become part of GOG's 10th anniversary free game promotion. Starting today, all GOG users have 48 hours to redeem their free copies of Shadow Warrior 2 on their accounts, giving them access to a DRM-free version of the first-person game of Flying Wild Hog.

This game is downloadable as a direct executable or via GOG's Galaxy launcher. All you have to do is create or log into your GOG account and add the game directly from its product page, once it's done it will be yours until the end of time. Shadow Warrior 2 is a first-person shooter video game developed by independent studio Flying Wild Hog and published by Devolver Digital. It is the sequel to Shadow Warrior 2013, the reboot of the 1997 original. The game was released for Microsoft Windows in October 2016 and for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in May 2017.

Shadow Warrior 2 can be played in single player mode or a new cooperative 4 player mode. In cooperative mode, each player experiences the narrative as Lo Wang but sees other players as different anonymous ninjas.
