The PS14 may not be SilverStone's sexiest case, but it has the merit of offering a 5.25 ″ bay up front and its price tag of around € 70 puts it within reach of many pockets. Soon, this chassis will return with a new PS14-E model, with E-ATX compatibility. And some small modifications in the design, although the general style is respected.

SilverStone Launches PS14-E Chassis, in E-ATX Format

The dimensions of the original chassis increase to 469 x 210 x 438 mm with a weight of 5.7 kg, with 7 + 2 PCI supports for graphics cards. Please note that the PCI-E riser is not in the package.

On the front, there is an external 5.25 ″ bay on top, plus the connector on the left side with two USB 3.0 and sound ports. The power button is displaced below the external bay, with blue light around it. It is no surprise that a large magnetic filter has been included on the top so that dust does not drain into the box.

Inside, the chassis also features an electrical cover on the bottom and plenty of room along the motherboard. Some unprotected passages are present, as well as two 2.5 ″ slots. Generally, there is room to put together a very beast PC on it.

Graphics cards can have a maximum length of 357mm depending on ventilation, while the processor radiator is limited to 177mm in height. It will be possible to install two 120mm or 140mm fans at the top, one at the rear and two 140mm or three 120mm fans at the front. The installation of a radiator is not possible at the top, but a 360 mm one can be placed at the front.
