Silverstone ld03, a miniature computer chassis

If we have had numerous computer cases at Computex, here we have a very special one from Silverstone, the LD03. This chassis plays with the space of its interior to offer a minimalist design as well as ridiculous dimensions.

Silverstone LD03: an ingenious little invention

LD03 is a box created by Taiwanese Silverstone . It is a very small chassis made of a steel body and tempered glass. Its exact measurements are only 26.5 × 41.4x23cm, approximately 29 liters.

On all four sides of the equipment we lack almost any opening to facilitate installation in difficult and small places. What we will have will be several tempered glass to see the components of the interior.

The ventilation system follows the laws of physics and takes advantage of convection currents by introducing cold air from the base. In the center of the equipment the current is heated and, finally, it is expelled from the top. On top of all this, we can add several fans to further enhance it.

Inside the chassis we can install:

• One air cooler up to 190mm high SFX / SFX-L power supplies up to 130mm long (Maximum voltage for SFX-L is 800W) Graphics cards up to 309mm in length 2 2.5 ″ SSDs or 1 SSD 2.5 ″ + 1 3.5 ″ HDD

In addition, to install all these components we will have it easy, since the crystals and most of the important parts can be put on and removed without screwdrivers or other tools.

Silverstone LD03 mini ATX case with top parts

If you are interested in having a small team, but without sacrificing too many aspects, this is a model that can meet your expectations. The computer above is an example of equipment mounted on a Silverstone LD03 and assembles:

Last conclusions

The Silverstone LD03 seems to us a curious and very good design. It is a challenge for those users who like to mount PCs and it can also be a relief for those others who want to mount modest computers that take up little space.

The facilities it offers us when it comes to fingering the interior are numerous and the installation method is relatively simple.

In conclusion, a good product that, however , we do not yet know an official starting price. Personally, I estimate that it will go on the market for an approximate price of € 80 , a good price for some, too much for other users.
