Silverstone makes a gala presentation for this small but bulky power supply. On the cover we can see an image of the Silverstone SX600-G and in large letters the product model. While on the back we have all the most important technical characteristics of the product in nine different languages.

Once we open the box we find excellent protection in all components.

We have a power supply with a somewhat special design: SFX. How is it different from an ATX power supply? By specifications it is identical to an ATX power supply, in general terms the only thing that changes is the casing that is smaller. For example, on this Silverstone SX600-G we have dimensions of 125 x 63.5 x 100 mm and a really light weight of 1.45 kg.

A few years ago it was unthinkable that a font with such a small size would be able to support 125w processors and a graphics card of almost 1, 000 euros. Yes, Silverstone has succeeded … It is a large and small fountain at the same time with an 80 PLUS GOLD efficiency that guarantees excellent durability and stability of the system.

The core is manufactured by the team at Enhance Electronics and is fully compatible with any platform on the market. Both Intel Mainstream (Intel Skylake i7) and the top-end socket for enthusiasts: Intel LGA 2011-3 with its i7-5820k.

As a high-end power supply it only incorporates a single 50A + 12V rail (amps) that will provide a total of 600W actual.

In the upper area we find the already known fan, specifically the ADDA AD0812UB-D91, which is activated once the power supply exceeds the established threshold of the brand. What does this mean? This technology is known as Semi Fan-Less. How does it work? That the power supply in standby mode does not have the fan active and will only activate when a system load occurs.

The cable management is totally modular, which allows us to carry out clean assemblies. The cables can be somewhat short, do not worry that there is another separate extension (you have to buy it separately) that gives a little more play.

The wiring set consists of the following pack:

Final words and conclusion

Silverstone has created the best SFX power supply on the market today. The Silverstone SX600-G has everything a PC Gamer needs: power, low noise, semi fanless design and modular cabling.

In our tests we have used an i5-6600k and one of the best graphics cards on the market, the GTX 980 Ti. The performance is excellent and without drop in any of its lines. All a pass !!
