Silverstone, the world leader in the manufacture of cases, power supplies and cooling systems, recently launched its new Silverstone Tundra Series TD03-Lite single grill 120mm liquid closed cooling kit.
Do you want to know how it has behaved in our test bench? Let's go there!
We thank Silverstone for trusting the product for their analysis.

Silverstone Tundra Series TD03-Lite
We find an ecological packaging but that does its job of protecting the product. On the cover we have a picture of the product and the most important specifications.
Once we open the box we find everything very well computer and the package is made up of:
- Silverstone TD03-Lite Liquid Cooling Kit. Instruction Manual and Quick Guide. 120mm Fan. Support for both Intel and AMD. Various hardware for your installation. Thermal Paste. 3-pin to power molex converter.
The Silverstone Tundra TD03-Lite is compact, maintenance-free liquid cooling and comes equipped with a single grill aluminum radiator with dimensions of 153mm (L) x 120mm (W) x 27mm (H) and very light weight 750 grams in total.
At an aesthetic level, we find a fairly standard design in these types of cooling system. As it is the lite version we have a fairly thin aluminum radiator with 27 mm, so it is good for compact configurations and equipment that does not need a large TDP. For example the i5-6600k can be a very good candidate but installing two fans.
The block does not present any novelty, it is somewhat high for its competitors, but it is also true that it incorporates a fairly silent pump inside. Its structure is plastic instead of metal like its older brother. The finishes are quite good and in the central area it has the logo with a blue led that improves its aesthetics.
The base is completely copper, which will help improve dissipation quite a bit.
I would also like to highlight their pipes and their sealing as they are among the best kits. This thickness allows it to hold more liquid and the system improves its dissipation.
Regarding the fan we have a own brand 120mm fan with PWM function (4 pins) that is capable of running from 1500 to 2500 RPM, a static pressure of 92.5 CFM and a static pressure of 3.5mm / H20. Aesthetically it is quite pleasing to the eye with a black frame and white blades.
As expected it is compatible with the best platforms of the moment Intel (LGA 775 / 115x / 1366 / 201x CPU (Core ™ i3 / i5 / i7)) and AMD (FM2 + / FM2 / FM1 / AM3 + / AM3 / AM2 + / AM2).
Assembly and installation
The time for assembly has arrived and we have decided to do it on the most enthusiastic platform that exists so far: the LGA1151 with Z170 chipset and 4-core processors with HyperThreading technology. The first step is to fix the support on the motherboard, for this we will use four screws and their corresponding spacers.
We will apply the thermal paste in the processor and fix the block with the 4 screws with their respective springs. The fixation is perfect.
We will plug the power cable to the 4 pins of our motherboard.
We would only have to fix the radiator to the tower, although in our case having a benchtable we have it in the air.

To test the real performance of the heatsink we are going to use one of the best processors on the market: Intel Skylake i5-6600k with Intel Burn Tests V2. We no longer use Prime95, because it is not a reliable test, as it is outdated software.
WE RECOMMEND YOU New Liquid Akasa Venom R10 and Venom R20Our tests consist of 72 uninterrupted hours of work. In stock values and with overclocked 4400 mhz. In this way we can observe the highest temperature peaks and the average that the heatsink reaches. We must bear in mind that when playing or using other types of software, temperatures will drop dramatically between 7 to 12ºC.
How are we going to measure the processor temperature?
We will use the internal sensors of the processor. For that test on Intel processors we will use the CPUID HwMonitor application in its latest version. Although it is not the most reliable test of the moment, it will be our reference in all our analyzes. The ambient temperature is 20º.
Let's see the results obtained:
Final words and conclusion
When we choose a closed liquid cooling system (AIO) it is for the simplicity of its assembly, the clearing of the entire system and avoiding an overpressure on the socket. Silverstone has been with its Tundra kits that have given such good performance during all this time, for a year now it has launched the TD02-Lite and the TD03-Lite that we have analyzed.
To make a short summary it includes a 120 mm radiator with 27 mm thickness, thick tubes with anti-liquid leaks, a block with 0.2 mm micro channels and a 100% copper base. In our tests we have reached fantastic temperatures with the latest Intel Skylake i5-6600k processor at 4, 400 Mhz.
Its compatibility is maximum with all current Intel sockets: LGA775 / 115X / 1366/2011/2011-v3 and AMD: AM2 / AM3 / FM1 / FM2. Its assembly is quite simple and we liked it so much.
Currently the store price is about 58 euros, which makes it a smart purchase.
