Snipe: The drone prepared for military use

Therefore, it is not surprising that a drone designed for military operations is presented. The name of this drone is Snipe. It has been developed by AeroVironment and is currently in the hands of the United States Army. Its use in a conflict zone is very close. What exactly is Snipe and how does it work?

Snipe Features

It is a small size drone, weighing just 140 grams. It has retractable arms, ideal for use on the ground. Soldiers can comfortably transport it and use it to analyze dangerous or suspicious terrain in any situation. It is equipped with cameras, also infrared cameras, which will be sent to the soldiers.

It can reach a maximum speed of approximately 32 km / h. Its battery has a life of about 15 minutes, so it must be used in brief and very special operations. Given its small size, its creators claim that it is barely visible in the air.

It is known that the United States government purchased 20 of these drones last April. They are supposed to be for the army, although nothing has been revealed about it. It has recently been published that the company has signed an agreement with the government to supply these types of drones in the future. Surely this is a very lucrative deal.
